Solid oak draining furniture

Very old piece of furniture entirely mortised in solid oak. Originally a dish cabinet, for storing, draining, and storing dishes after cleaning. Antique kitchen furniture made traditionally, locally in the south of France, late 19th century. Chest on legs. Wide opening from above, top made of 3 boards on iron hinges. Fitted interior, wooden base, slatted shelves and vertical dividers running the length of the furniture. Intermediate low shelf. Simple, straight legs. Dish drainer from a very old stone house. Furniture to be repurposed as a storage chest, planter, or other, with charm and authenticity. Good overall condition, with numerous signs of age, use, and insects.
