Superb SCHOLZ STAR oak curtain filing cabinet (1940s/1950s)

Superb professional furniture, notary's filing cabinet or scholz star curtain filing cabinet, restored to its original condition (1940s/1950s). It is made of oak and oak plywood and opens with two curtains that slide perfectly. The slats are made of solid oak and are operated by a beautiful original brass handle that matches the wonderful metallic labels of the scholz star brand. This is the merger of two legendary office furniture brands from the beginning of the last century. The quality is therefore there and even the handles are stamped on the back (eoa). We immediately notice the fact that the labels are two-tone, with this deep green that enhances the brass of the letters. The whole thing has a crazy class. The locks and keys work even if the one on the left has been replaced by another identical lock from the same period (the key also varies). Inside, several removable plywood shelves allow you to modulate the storage space. Some have wooden edges to hold documents. We also note the metal bars that ensure the solidity of the furniture. The top is in good condition, like the rest of the furniture, with a pleasant little cornice. We also note the beautiful lower plinths. It has been completely cleaned, which has revealed the luminous patina of the oak without losing its life. It therefore has marks, traces of life and some small imperfections due to its age but it is in excellent general condition and has regained all its splendor.
