Beautiful colorful engraving from a buffon edition. This is two snakes. In very good condition. Original extremely well preserved. About 1850. The beautiful illustrated subjects of these period editions are becoming rare now. Chic in the finesse of typography and engraving strokes. The colors are original, engraving enhanced at the time.
