Very beautiful articulated architect's lamp. Wechselstrom, made in East Germany (GDR) in the 1970s. This large industrial desk lamp features a remarkable double-arm articulated system with compensating springs, allowing for easy adjustment of the lamp's height and orientation as needed. Its long arm, approximately 105 cm when extended, gives it a strong presence and allows for a wide range of adjustment. The adjustable reflector, 19 cm in diameter, enables precise direction of light onto the work surface. The lamp retains its original clamp, with a screw-fixing system that allows it to be installed directly on the edge of a desk, table, or workbench. An original marking is present directly on the metal structure: Wechselstrom logo as well as the references. 5827 / S191 / 2. With its robust construction, exposed mechanism, and cream-white finish, this lamp is particularly representative of German industrial design from the second half of the 20th century. It will also be interesting in a contemporary, industrial, vintage, or minimalist interior, serving both as a functional desk lamp and a decorative object. Good vintage condition, with signs of use and aging: small paint losses, scratches, and superficial marks visible in the photographs. Good vintage condition, with signs of use and aging: small paint losses, scratches, dents, and superficial marks visible in the photographs. These signs are normal for an industrial piece from this era and contribute to its authenticity and character. The articulated mechanism and springs are present.
