Ferraguti arnaldo (1862-1925) Painter at his easel. Watercolour. Signed lower right. Image dimension: 23 X 15cm. Period framing. Provenance: bliss modern antiques gmbh, zurich. Arnaldo ferraguti was born on 17 april 1862 in ferrara. He trained at the accademia di belle arti in naples, then under the direction of domenico morelli. He became friends with the painter francesco paolo michetti and his entourage in francavilla al mare. He lives and works in rome. He participated in various group exhibitions and won silver medals in nice in 1884 and in ferrara in 1885. He also exhibited in dresden, munich and vienna between 1887 and 1889. In 1891, he married olga treves, granddaughter of editors emilio and giuseppe treves. He erected a villa in pallanza where he taught painting, and frequented the salons of giuseppe treves' villa cordelia, nearby. He died in forli in 1925.
