Important oak chest – late 19th century

This substantial chest, made of solid oak, features a dowel-assembled structure, indicating a method of joining the corners for added strength and durability. The cover, mounted on iron hinges, is made up of five well-joined boards, with end caps, without composite filling element. This piece of furniture rests on console legs, curved supports that add stability as well as a decorative element to the piece.
