Space age chandelier with 6 frosted glass lights, Eastern Europe circa 1950.

Magnificent chandelier with 6 lights from around 1950. Very rare model from the early series known as "Sputnik," completely in the spirit of the Space Age of that time, inspired by flying saucers and other space satellites, and manufactured at that time in Eastern countries such as the former GDR or the former Czechoslovakia. The one presented here has a satin metal structure in cream colour with a suspension rod and claws in chrome brass. The very beautiful tulips are made of frosted glass with white swirls. The chandelier measures 68 cm in diameter and 60 cm in height. The tulips are 16 cm in height and 16 cm in diameter. Finally, the ceiling light measures 4 cm in height and 9 cm in diameter. In impeccable condition, ultra high quality, this superb chandelier (the photos only partially capture its aesthetic) will become a remarkable piece of your decor, obviously in a living room, a large entrance, but also in a stylish kitchen above the dining area...
