Large Antique French Art Nouveau Acanthus 6-Light Bronze Cage Candlestick. Crafted in bronze, this stunning 6-light fixture features a distinctive three-sided cage design adorned with elegant acanthus leaf detailing, A central finite anchors the base of the chandelier, from which six beautifully scrolled arms extend, each richly decorated with acanthus motifs and leading to ornate candle drip holders. The candle drips are the original card type, showing age-related wear and deterioration that adds to the piece's authentic antique character. The chandelier is suspended from a five-link chain—two of which are decorative—connected to a bar and finished with an ornate ceiling fitter. The chandelier has French twin core wiring and takes 6 bulbs small screw in type E14s.The chandelier's bronze framework is solid and sturdy, showing a rich, deep time-worn patina that beautifully reflects its age and history. The candle drips are original and made of card; they display noticeable deterioration consistent with age, adding to the piece's authentic antique charm.Please note: This is a very heavy chandelier and may need ceiling braces for hanging.
