Pair of brutalist oak lounge chairs with rush seats – Netherlands

Two beautiful lounge chairs in solid oak with rush seats, made in the Netherlands around 1935. They are comfortable and wonderful by the fireplace. With their robust form and fairy-tale appearance, they are a real eye-catcher; they fit perfectly with the style of Axel Einar Hjorth, Charlotte Perriand, Jean Touret and Charles Dudouyt. The natural materials give a warm presence in a brutalist, country, wabi sabi or modern interior. Condition: good, signs of use consistent with age.
