Dimensions: height: 22 cm width: 22 cm depth: 10 cm — raku — raku, the french abbreviation of the japanese term raku-yaki 楽焼 (raku-yaki: "comfortable cooking"), is the result of an ancestral enameling technique giving random results. The thermal shock at the end of cooking causes micro-cracks revealed by smoking (see below) in the enamel. There will therefore never be two identical pieces. The solidity of the object is not affected by these micro-cracks. These objects were traditionally used for the tea ceremony. — enameling — the biscuit is covered entirely or partially with enamel (or glaze), with a brush, sprayer or by dipping, then re-annealed in the oven.
