Pair of candlesticks Josef Schott, brutalist/modernist, 1960

Pair of brutalist candle holders by Josef Schott for Smålandshyttan, Sweden, 1960. Material: glass. In excellent condition despite their great age. Only a small chip on a lower corner is to be noted (see photo). These candle holders are typical of his production from the 1960s, featuring blown and molded optical lens designs. The relief pattern on the 4 sides with rings and bubbles beautifully refracts the light. These candle holders can accommodate tea lights, cylindrical candles, or taper candles.
