Large decorative plate in carved wood shaped like a stylised leaf. Africa, 20th century. Hand-carved solid wood: an organic composition inspired by the plant world, depicting a large ribbed leaf with irregular and rhythmic contours. The central and secondary veins are deeply carved, structuring the surface and enhancing the relief effect. Brown-red to dark brown patina, with natural nuances and darker areas, revealing the wood grain and a uniform aging. A small chip is visible in the last photo. Length : 65 cm. Depth : 26 cm.
