Large Italian gilt metal and crystal glass sconces from Banci Firenze, 1960s, set of 2

This impressive pair of large wall sconces with a parrot design was produced by Banci Firenze in Italy during the 1960s. The high-quality pieces are made from gilt metal with cut crystal glass elements. Both heavy sconces feature three lights: two dripped wax candle sockets (light bulbs) and one central amphora (halogen lamp) with a parrot relief in cut crystal glass. The elegant and filigree metalwork shows branches and leaves with cut glass flowers. The stronger bottom ornaments wind around the parrot centerpiece and support the overall structure. The sconces are in very good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age and use.
