Vintage patinated solid wood side bench

The small bench is in very good condition, it is stable, solid, and the assemblies do not move. It is made of solid wood, very well built, like a carpenter's furniture, with invisible assemblies. The feet, as well as the reinforcement bars are of square section, 3 cm on each side. The reinforcements between the feet form like a belt and make them even stronger, and create a nice graphic rhythm. The top is a very beautiful solid wooden board 2 cm thick, and measures 46 cm by 29.5 cm. The bench has retained its patina, made of different layers of old peeling paint, sometimes letting us guess the wood here and there. The last coat of paint is glossy brown, and underneath it is an off-white, which was probably the original color. The small bench is rather heavy, the solid wood being quite dense. It can be used as a seat, to sit near the ground, for example around a coffee table, but it can also be used as a harness for plants, sculptures, a lamp... Beautiful french manufacture of the 40s. The small bench has been entirely waxed with natural beeswax, so it is relatively protected. For maintenance, it will be enough to rub it from time to time with a clean cloth.
