Elegant pair of Art Deco decorative panels in relief glazed ceramic, signed by Henri Dropsy, a renowned French sculptor and medallist from the early 20th century. These decorative plaques were produced towards the end of the 1920s by the Victor Canale workshop, which specialised in ceramic wall panels for interior decoration. The first panel represents the allegory of Spring, identifiable by the inscription "PRINTEMPS" and the female figure holding above her head a flower-filled basket symbolising fertility and renewal. The second panel depicts a mythological hunting scene, evoking Diana the huntress, accompanied by animals (a greyhound, a bird, and a serpent), in a composition very characteristic of the Art Deco aesthetic. The relief decoration features a beautiful polychromy (greens, ochres, creams, and browns) and a symmetrical composition typical of the decorative creations of the time. Both panels have a circular workshop stamp on the back as well as their original hanging system integrated into the ceramic, confirming their design as decorative wall plaques. Dimensions: Spring 20x20 cm. Diana 22x20.5 cm.
