Oil on cardboard portrait of a man with a beard by Devaux

This oil on cardboard was produced by devaux, it is beautifully made in a fabric frame and gilded wood sticks typical of the mid-20th century. The work is in good general condition, note that the painting has been opened, therefore, there is a slight gap between the canvas and the frame. We report gaps and visible signs of wear on the frame, the margin is slightly warped, yellowed and halos are visible on the fabric. The inscription "devaux" is on a plaque under the painting.
