Wooden farmhouse console, circa 40's/50's

Vintage french farmhouse console table with drawer, 1940s-50s. This beautiful handcrafted rustic piece is elegant, classic & modern. It is made of pine, with a beautiful rich & warm oak finish. There is one drawer (l32.5 d 28.5 h6) functional and clean with its pull knob (see photos). It comes straight from the perigord, in the southwest of france. The piece is in good overall condition, original & vintage, with some light marks, signs of age and previous use commensurate with time, as well as a patina of time, on the overall structure, on the top (see photos with a 1 cent coin for perspective), edges, drawers, feet and ends (see photos), none of which affect the functionality of the piece, but only enhance its character, authenticity & charm. A small loss on the corner of the top of the left front foot at the apron and on the top of the wooden pull (see photos) some very old marks/splits from the woodwork on the top and on one right rear foot (see photos.) old traces & marks of woodworm (end of the right rear foot (see photo), as you would expect for a piece of this age, but the piece has been fully treated, then gently cleaned, polished with linseed oil & waxed, to preserve its integrity, & in respect of its original patina of time. The table is stable. Ideal to use for a vintage, rustic contemporary decor in an entryway, as a wall console against a large wall, a living room, a bedroom or a bathroom. It could also be used in a smaller space or kitchenette, as a side table, small dining table or desk, in an office, or in a den. All photos are taken under natural outdoor light.
