We've always had a huge weakness for antique rattan brasserie chairs. They display an outdoor guinguette style that we love to bring into our homes. Whether it's for their material, their often flamboyant colors, or their solid, arty look, it doesn't matter. We love them. This quartet of antique rattan chairs playfully evokes brasserie terraces. These chairs combine polyamide with a beautifully woven natural fiber material: rattan. The set is French-made, from Maison Hardy, a high-end manufacturer of rattan furniture since 1884. These antique chairs display a very intense patina on the rattan structure, with a chipped varnish and a few broken strands. The seats and backs are in very good condition. The chairs remain solid and sturdy. The colors are soft. These antique seats will convey a Riviera ambiance placed around a family table with other mismatched chairs. Lovely.
