Vintage pitcher Onnaing model 85 in a deep and luminous raspberry red, emblematic of the fine enamelled productions of the Onnaing Manufacture. Its balanced shape, highlighted by fine horizontal stripes, reflects an aesthetic that is both functional and decorative, characteristic of table arts from the early 20th century. The well-designed spout and angular handle give the piece an almost sculptural presence. The glossy and nuanced enamel reveals subtle chromatic variations between ripe raspberry and garnet, offering beautiful visual depth and an authentic patina. Founded in the North of France in the 19th century, the Onnaing manufacture is renowned for its utilitarian and decorative earthenware with bold and expressive glazes, now highly sought after for their strong character and material sincerity. Stamped Onnaing. Height 19 cm, width (including handle) 14 cm, diameter 11 cm. In good vintage condition, with signs of age and use. Some old chips at the spout and handle, as well as a fine hairline crack on the handle, visible in the photographs. These discreet and stabilised marks do not detract from the charm of the piece and testify to its history. Positioned as a signature object, this raspberry red earthenware asserts a collected and instinctive aesthetic, balancing revisited popular heritage with a contemporary view of the material, ideal for a sensitive and bold interior staging.
