Highly sought-after industrial stackable chairs by Pagholz Galvanitas, never seen in this two-tone colourway with black frames. The back of the shells is in dark brown wenge, and the front is in an astonishing teal with a beautiful flame pattern and a wood grain structure. Designed in the style of the famous industrial designs by Wim Rietveld, Jean Prouvé, and Friso Kramer (the main base of the "pyramid" or "compass"). These sculptural chairs are crafted for optimal comfort and high durability; the pag wood seat components are made from a high-density veneer/resin composite and are resistant to impacts, scratches, breakage, and weather, as well as cigarette burns. The frames are not tubular, as in most similar designs from this period, but made from folded sheet metal, ending in rubber feet. Very sturdy and a revolutionary design from the 1960s. The clever design of the chair legs allows for the creation of a bench in seconds, simply by stacking one leg on top of the other, which interlock. All chairs are in solid, good vintage condition with a beautiful contrasting two-tone colourway.
