Vase in Japanese stoneware in green glaze, a branch of prunus forming the Cove. Around 1900. Great object of museum quality. The art of sandstone, of the fire and the Earth alliance, is one of the deepest expressions of the Japanese sensibility. The great creativity of the Japanese potters manifested itself in the inventiveness of the forms and the richness of the materials. Apparent simplicity and their sobriety gives them a particular elegance and hide a perfect technical mastery and a wealth of imagination. This vase is a perfect example.
