Round side table in antique solid wood

Round side table in solid antique elm wood. We built our round table from an old wooden wheel that we repurposed into a tabletop and to which we added old elm wood legs that are over a hundred years old. We used solid antique elm wood restored by hand. Our idea was to make a 50 cm high coffee table that reproduces the style of construction of yesteryear. We made several copies of similar dimensions although there is no single piece that is exactly alike. Each table was renovated according to its own needs. Some old wooden boards still had layers of paint on the surface and a stripping process was carried out to bring out the natural color of the wood. Afterwards, the tables were coated with beeswax to cover and protect the pores of the wood and thus resist the passage of time. It took several months to find the wood and create our range of antique wooden tables. Each round side table is unique, with its own imperfections and marks of time.
