Mid-Century Modern Scandinavian Hand-Painted Birch Cabinet, 1960s

This modernist, high cabinet was made in scandinavia in the 1960s. The cabinet has been finished with birch with an irregular, strong and intricate grain and a brown-earth color. This piece of furniture has a pair of sliding doors with decorated front in hand-painted, geometric paiting combining shades of blue and gold. Noteworthy are the oblong, rectangular handles made of solid wood. The chest is mounted on turned legs. It is a graphically pleasing composition. The cabinet has been partially renovated, with the observance of natural patina and in accordance with the rules of the upcycled vintage art. This item is a vintage piece that has been altered from its original state through artistic interventions, such as hand-painted finishes or compositions parts from different original vintage objects.
