Magnificent rare small white porcelain vase, from a limited high-quality vintage reissue produced between 1965-1980 by Sheffield - Haviland & Limoges for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, stamped under the base, sold exclusively in the museum shop at that time. The model is inspired by an original Meissen vase - Germany - from 1715-1720, the beginning of European porcelain. Tall square shape, moulded base and finely detailed relief decoration. The four sides alternate between two baroque female masks and two floral and fruit ornaments in high relief, typical of the early 18th-century Meissen style. Bright white porcelain, very pure, with perfectly clear decoration. Careful museum production, now quite rare. In new condition, with a firing crack inside the neck, invisible from the outside, not compromising its integrity.
