Salvador Aulestia (1915-1994) Salvador Aulestia (Barcelona, 1915 – Milan, 1994) is part of the select circle of Spanish artists who have marked the history of 20th-century art, alongside Pablo Picasso, Juan Miró, Salvador Dalí, Antoni Tàpies, and a few others. His artistic journey took him from classical expressionism to pure abstraction, passing through figurative and surrealist abstraction, Fauvism, post-Cubism, and expressionism, before founding his own artistic movement, the "Apotelesmatical," in 1963, with the publication of the Apotelesmatic Art Manifesto.
