Modular sofa Saparella by Michel Ducaroy — Chocolate corduroy, 1965

Four independent elements to compose freely: three armchairs with backs and one diabolo, a low module without a back. In its original configuration, two armchairs and the diabolo form a three-seater sofa. The third armchair can be placed wherever desired. The Saparella, designed by Michel Ducaroy around 1965, already lays the groundwork for the Marsala and Togo: no visible structure, generous foam, a very low seat where the body sinks in. Vintage edition, not stamped. Metal snap buttons on the sides allow the modules to be secured together. The covers are removable and have been thoroughly cleaned. Condition: Very good overall condition. Foams intact, with no sagging or crumbling. Some signs of use on the velvet and a tear on the side of one seat.
