Bronze balloon chandelier and grapevines 90cm

Imposing empire style hot air balloon chandelier. This chandelier is a reissue of empire style luminaires also called hot air balloon chandeliers. It has a structure entirely made of bronze and has several hundred crystallized glass grapevines. All polished individually by hand. It is this artisanal feat that gives it its old look. The natural and so particular finish of its bronze structure was achieved thanks to a drying in the sun. This elegant chandelier will be able to illuminate with its majesty both the smallest rooms and large reception rooms. It was the invention of the hot air balloon, during the reign of louis xvi, that inspired the design of this chandelier. Its shape is indeed that of the aerostat, but in reverse. Thus, this luminaire is narrow at its top and widens as it descends to form a cavity that houses the bulb holders. Under napoleon 3 the production of this chandelier intensified and that is why it can be found today in many residences and imperial palaces. It comes with a bronze chain about 70cm long and a ceiling lamp for a perfect finish. Its height makes it a central piece to which the eyes naturally turn. In an entrance, a reception room or above a dining table, it takes on its full dimension. Perfect condition.
