Magnificent duo of covered stoneware pots, Studio Pottery, probably vintage French from the 80s-90s. Each features a beautiful layering of melting glazes in shades of brown, moss green, mint, black, and rust, with areas and speckles of shiny copper and small crystals in the glaze that reflect the light, showcasing superb craftsmanship, very beautiful technique, and splendid glaze with vitrified drips reminiscent of certain Japanese ceramics like Takatori. The shape is more Western but modern with Asian inspirations. The lids, turned separately, have a stepped knob in speckled light brown raw stoneware, as do the tall bases with visible turning marks. Incised signatures under the bases, workshop monogram “LA” (?) to be identified, supporting a studio potter production from this period. Approximately 18-19 cm in maximum height with lids, around 15-15.5 cm in maximum diameter at the lids. Very good overall condition for both, dense and clean glazing, with a few fine and rare signs of use. Approximately 800g each. These are unique pieces due to their glazing.
