Exceptional and iconic silver-plated tea/coffee service by Christofle from around 1960. Model "Como" created by Lino Sabattini for Christofle in 1957. The set consists of 5 pieces: 1 Teapot 30.5 X 13 cm. 1 Coffee pot 16.5 X 21 cm. 1 Milk jug 12 X 8.5 cm. 1 Sugar bowl 11.5 X 9 cm. 1 Tray 49 X 30.5 cm. All handles and grips of the service are wrapped in raffia. All pieces are stamped Gallia and marked Prod Christofle. The "Como" service is Lino Sabattini's most famous creation, having become an iconic and highly sought-after item. Very good overall condition, with tiny scattered scratches on the tray and coffee pot due to its age and use.
