Set of two bistro chairs designed by the renowned Italo Gasparucci for the ECC Tennis Tournament in Antwerp. Crafted from high-quality wood and rattan. The seat features a clean, off-white woven wicker providing a cool, breathable surface, with a tight weave that contrasts with the darker, organic tones of the bamboo frame. The backrest has a central oval medallion. One chair features the official ECC Antwerp Tennis Championship logo. These chairs were commissioned for the 1982 tournament and were likely used in the VIP 'Diamond Lounge' or as court-side seating for officials and distinguished guests. Gasparucci’s choice of rattan and bamboo nods to the 'Lawn Tennis' aesthetic of the early 20th century, updated with a 1980s 'Hollywood Regency' flair.
