Stunning diplomat sofa, designed by john home in the 1970s for hk (howard keith) furniture u.k. The ultimate lounge sofa. Extremely comfortable and ultra cool as well. The sofa has the original sereno stripe velvet upholstery in black and cream, which still is in very good condition. The cylindrical legs are made of chrome plated steel. The sofa comes with 5 matching cushions and an extra roll of fabric (60cm X 305cm). The hk diplomat was quickly considered a classic sofa design and was sold by retailers such as harrods. The sofa was included in a classics exhibition at heal & son ltd.’s london store as early as 1981. This well sought after sofa was featured in various movies and photo shoots. The sofa is in very good original condition. Some light traces of use due to time and usage. The fabric has some slight discoloration.
