Set of 6 inlaid chairs – Biedermeier / Restoration style

Elegant set of six solid wood and marquetry chairs, in Biedermeier / Restoration style (20th century), characterised by a finely marqueted lyre-shaped backrest. Each chair features a straight back with a slightly curved upper rail, a central marquetry lyre depicting an antique vase adorned with flowers and foliage, made from veneers of different woods (light wood, dark wood, polychrome inlays), a stained wood structure with marked and warm grains, a padded seat covered in golden yellow velvet (clean condition, attractive decorative appearance), straight front and back legs with a square section, featuring decorative veneer on the front. The marquetry work is fine and meticulous, adding a refined and classic touch to the whole. Inspired by the Biedermeier style (first half of the 19th century), these chairs combine simplicity of lines with controlled decorative richness. They fit well in both a classic interior and a more contemporary decor seeking a character piece. Overall good structural condition, with some signs of use and minor marks of time on the wood (consistent with age and use), seats in good condition, clean fabric, well-preserved marquetry.
