Scandinavian vintage wall unit with a console in the style of Poul Cadovius, 1960s

This Scandinavian vintage wall unit in teak was made in Denmark some time in the 1960s. The same period and very similar to famous Poul Cadovius projects. It features four shelves and a console with two drawers. The console has a carefully selected veneer on the front, which, together with the brass handles, creates a coherent modernist look. Masterful joinery is showcased in the dovetailing of the drawer fronts, a demanding and very rare technique in modern furniture making. Shelves are mounted with black metal hangers on solid wood rails, and they can be placed lower or higher using regularly placed slots in the rails. It makes the piece not only stylish but also functional. It can be a perfect entry wall unit or a functional decoration for a living room or a bedroom. The unit consists of: 4 shelves 20 cm depth. A console with two drawers: H: 16 / W: 80 / D: 30 cm (drawers H: 11) 4 solid wood rails (95.5 cm each) Black metal brackets. Overall dimensions: H: 191 / W: 83 / D: 30 cm  The unit has been renovated. The wood has been cleaned with professional compounds and protected with layers of Danish oil, enhancing its beauty.
