Sommerso Cup Josef Hospodka Chribska Yellow Magenta 18cm 1.5kg

Sumptuous vintage Sommerso bowl in art glass from Eastern Europe, designed by master glassmaker Josef Hospodka for the renowned Czechoslovak manufacture Chřibská Sklárna. This sculptural piece weighs 1.567 kg and measures 18 cm in width, illustrating the essence of the Sommerso technique: a vibrant heart of luminous yellow glass is fused and encapsulated in enveloping waves of deep magenta, all under a thick shell of pure transparent crystal. Its fluid organic lines, stretched and pinched hot according to the iconic shapes of Mid-Century Modern design from the 1960s, create spectacular plays of refraction and gradients of light. In perfect condition, stable and with a brilliant shine. Dimensions: Height 9.5 cm|Width 18 cm|Weight 1.567 kg.
