Rare McIntosh Teak Sideboard 202 cm – Carved Handles (Variant of D)

Superb and rare teak sideboard from the Scottish manufacturer A.H. McIntosh, dating from the 1960s. Stamped "A.H. McIntosh & Co Ltd Kirkcaldy, " this piece is distinguished by its atypical design: it retains the standard dimensions of the famous "Dunvegan" model (202 cm) but features magnificent carved horizontal handles (of the "Moy" type), much rarer than the classic vertical wing handles. An exceptional piece of cabinetmaking, combining the functionality of a large storage unit with the refined organic details of Scandinavian design. Specifications: Dimensions: Length 202 cm - Depth 45 cm - Height 75 cm. Storage: Left: 3 large drawers with carved "lip" handles (the first drawer is divided into compartments with a felt-lined bottom for cutlery). Right: A large double-door cupboard with an asymmetrical shelf (the famous McIntosh cutout to accommodate tall bottles). Materials: Light teak and solid wood handles. Condition: Very good vintage condition.
