Pair of antique Louis XV style bergère armchairs

Superb pair of antique bergères in carved solid wood (probably beech) inspired by Louis XV, combining elegance and comfort. Their traditional structure, entirely pegged, testifies to quality craftsmanship and remarkable solidity. The structure must date from the end of the 19th century, beginning of the 20th century. These bergères were redone in the 1960s according to the rules of the art: traditional spring and horsehair upholstery, ensuring a firm and soft seat. The striped fabric with small floral patterns, refined and luminous, is in excellent condition (only the armrests reveal a subtle trace of time on the fabric, without wear or tear.) Very stable and comfortable, these bergères are ideal for a classic living room, an elegant boudoir or to bring a touch of old chic to a contemporary interior. These armchairs belonged to my grandmother who always took the greatest care of them.
