Detailed description: Exceptional and authentic ovoid stoneware vase from the famous Belgian manufacturer Boch Frères Keramis, created under the artistic direction of master ceramist Charles Catteau. This is a rare historical piece dating from the transitional period 1915-1920, reflecting the beginnings of the Art Deco style. This model is fully listed and documented in the Catalogue Raisonné of Charles Catteau's work. Evidence of its artistic and heritage significance, an identical example of this vase (Form 914 / Decor D.622) is officially preserved and displayed at the Keramis Museum in La Louvière. Description of the decor (in accordance with the catalogue raisonné): The neck and shoulder of the vase are adorned with a frieze of double wavy contours punctuated with white circles, highlighting white roses and stylised leaves created using the technique of matt cloisonné enamels (beige, brown, black, and white tones). The rest of the surface features a magnificent marbled and jasper effect, achieved through skilful layering of enamels without outlines. A delicate beige line punctuated with white enhances the neck and base of the piece.
