Old country pantry

Inedit! This country pantry from the 30s-40s. Made entirely of pine, it has been used in a farm in the pyrenees for almost a century. These pantries were used to preserve food that did not require a fridge, cheese, fruit, cold cuts..., safe from flies and other insects. It is composed of a pine frame and side walls in fine mesh, intended to let the interior air while playing its protective role. Inside, there is a rounded bar, which is the entire length, and which was used to hang garlic or sausages. A small door, which closes with a small lock. It is in good condition, with traces that are the witness of a lifetime of use, and that make all its authenticity. This very practical object could of course keep its primary usefulness, why not in a beautiful hotel or a good restaurant, but it can also be diverted as a decorative object. Size: Height: 47 cm.
