Sold here in pairs. For sale here is a magnificent pair of sculptural safari armchairs imported from Africa in the 60s by our client who was a passionate collector. These are hand-carved versions of the safari chair inspired by Arne Norell's Scirocco Safari chair, a design classic from 1964. These are covered with high-quality brown leatherette (Naugahyde) and their backrests adjust up and down at different angles. . NOTE: These chairs are unique and very rare. The magnificent mid-century Sirocco chair was designed by Arne Norell in 1964. The exposed stained oak frame is carefully constructed using tongue and groove architectural design and additionally uses the suspended leather support. The beautiful original brown imitation leather (Naugahyde) is in good condition. There are some small imperfections and wear on the inner edges of the fabric, but overall it shows very well. The frame is in very good aesthetic and functional condition, no cracks or scratches, these are in very good condition. You can customize a new seat and backrest very easily if you choose to use a different textile. The design is accentuated by brass buckles on the bottom.
