Two-seater canapé in aged leather, Victorian style.

We are delighted to offer for sale this sumptuous two-seater sofa, fully restored in hand-dyed aged brown leather. This sofa is among the finest you can find; it has been reupholstered with high-quality natural cowhide leather, hand-dyed in a beautiful whisky brown colour. The hand-carved mahogany frame has been stripped and professionally French polished. The cushions are filled with new goose feathers. The seating platform features a traditional Victorian spiral spring system, and the backrest is also fully spring-loaded, making this sofa very comfortable and expensive. Dimensions: Height 85 cm, Width 182.5 cm, Depth 94 cm. Measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our warehouses in Wimbledon. Condition: Please refer to the very detailed photos that are an integral part of the description regarding the condition. Note that vintage and original period items such as leather seating will always have a natural patina in the form of cracks, creases, and wear. We recommend regular polishing to prevent any loss of moisture. Additionally, hand-dyed leather is not recommended for prolonged exposure to direct sunlight as it may dry out and discolour.
