Vintage chocolate glazed stoneware teapot

Vintage glazed stoneware teapot with a sculptural form and generous silhouette, reminiscent of large French utilitarian pieces from the mid-20th century. Its slightly nuanced chocolate brown glaze, glossy and delicately satin-finished with age, reveals subtle variations in texture that catch the light. The contrast with the ivory interior brings softness and balance to the whole. The shape is particularly elegant with its wide, curved body, its generously sized handle that is very comfortable to hold, its well-defined spout, and its lid with a spherical knob, pierced by a small vent—a refined detail typical of fine, carefully crafted utilitarian pieces. There is no indication of a maker's mark or origin; on the reverse is a "2," most likely corresponding to a workshop or firing mark.
