Artemide bedside lamp

Designed in 1965 by Vico Magistretti and awarded the Compasso d’Oro in 1967, Eclisse is a bedside lamp based on a simple mechanical principle: a rotating inner dome "eclipses" the light source within a fixed shell, transitioning from a direct beam to a softer diffusion. This architecture of concentric shells makes Eclisse a piece where the control of light is entirely ensured by the geometry of the diffuser.
