Pair of lounge chairs – 1950s/60s – Karl Laible – Oak and velvet

Pair of mid-century armchairs, German work from the 1950s-1960s, bearing the label of the manufacturer Karl Laible K.-G., a seating manufacturer established in Salach, Württemberg. Solid oak structure with characteristic very open and inclined V-shaped legs, typical of post-war German design. Low, wide armrests supported by the wooden structure and fixed with visible black metal rivets at the back. Upholstery in textured velvet with a geometric honeycomb pattern, in burgundy/plum colour. Moderate wear on the velvet visible in some areas with flattened pile; wooden structure in generally good condition. Reupholstering may be required depending on use. Individual dimensions: H. 76 cm – W. 71 cm – Weight: 15 kg.
