Louis XV style armchair, late 19th century

Louis XV style armchair, with solid walnut structure and cannage in perfect condition for the rest. Its high, bent and enveloping back is ground around its edge and is framed with a pair of sculpted flowers. Its precious dressing is preserved from too much pressure by the presence on the back of a vertical bar. Its armrests, with "whipping" consoles, are equipped with small cuffs covered with brown leather, in harmony with the entire seat, with aged nail finishes. A double cannage garnished the full cheeks of this seat, a single constitutes the seat. The latter offers comfortable dimensions and curved lines on the front. The low façade crossbar is crafted and has a floral decoration similar to that of the back. Mouldings are also present on the sides of this bergere, as well as on its two curved front feet. The two back feet are sabres. ******** Period: late 19th century. Perfect condition after restoration in our workshop. Finish only waxed.
