Maison Lecan presents this transparent acrylic side table from the 1970s, embodying the spirit of Italian and French plastic design from a period fascinated by new materials and transparency. The top is formed from a thick thermoformed sheet of acrylic in a cascading design — the so-called "waterfall" shape, where the material bends in a U-shape to simultaneously create an upper and a lower surface. The edges reveal a characteristic purple hue of acrylic from this era, which captures and diffuses light differently depending on the angle. The transparency of the material gives the piece a total visual lightness, almost immaterial. The central star-shaped base with four branches in brushed chrome is understated and precise — it anchors the table to the ground without detracting from its lightness. The overall condition is good, with slight signs of use typical for a piece of this age. A side table with a distinctly seventies character, it fits well in both a boldly vintage interior and a contemporary space seeking an unexpected counterpoint. Reference LDP: 20260323-007. Dimensions: L 54 X D 33 X H 49 cm.
