Large Art Deco oak buffet – Chevron veneer

Grand Art Deco buffet from the 1930s in oak and oak veneer, characterised by its geometric lines, rounded uprights, and elegant panels with chevron and open book veneer. Its perfectly balanced façade consists of three doors and a central drawer. The veneer work particularly highlights the natural grain of the oak and gives the piece the understated graphic decor typical of Art Deco furniture. The slightly angled legs, in a splayed leg style, visually lighten the whole. Despite its generous dimensions and beautiful presence, the buffet remains relatively light to carry. The top has been protected with a professional varnish to allow for daily use while maintaining the natural appearance of the wood. The interior has been intentionally left in its original state, with marks and nuances that testify to the history of the piece. The buffet has three functional locks and two keys. Small pieces of wood corresponding to previous repairs of holes are visible at the back of the top — see photographs. Maximum width at the top: 147 cm. Maximum depth: 51 cm. Height: 99 cm. Details.
