Large kerosene lamp mounted on bronze statue. Late nineteenth century

Magnificent kerosene lamp, like new, mounted on a superb bronze statue. Draped woman sitting on rockery décor, holding as a torch this superb blue oil tank in blown glass (diameter 13 cm). Very nice details, both on the sculpture and on the glass of the tank. The finely chiseled bobèche is functional and has its wick. The lamp glass is intact. The lamp without the diffuser tube measures 45 cm, which is imposing. Under the base a signature "m d" Very rare in this state...
