Showcase library Arnaud Teck 1960

Teak bookcase (veneer) on 4 square metal legs, original grey lacquered, design attributed to Louis Paolozzi for Monopoly. The furniture is composed of 4 levels: Level 1: two sliding doors open onto a storage room with a shelf, Level 2: two open niches with a small shelf, Level 3: two sliding glass doors open onto a glass shelf, Level 4: two french doors open onto a shelf. Arnaud is also the monopoly company created in 1953 to spread the concept of "furniture by elements". Highly inspired by scandinavian design, this showcase library is an example of the modular furniture in vogue at the time and which revolutionized the art of living, receiving and furnishing offices. The modulation was done to order, here by the superposition of 4 different storage modules.  a singular aesthetic detail is added with its teak grip buttons, square in shape that rotate like a flap to open the doors. Finally, its easy and solid assembly system does not reveal any fastening elements. Its construction is child's play and a real engineering treat for the designer. Finally, its minimalist design, of ultra-sleek geometric shape on an original gray lacquered steel base, transports this gifted piece of furniture from an era that "under 20s can not know" to our years 2022's. Setting wheels marked arnaud sgdg. Note a side panel on the right and left, is haloed and possibly requires intervention to cover a uniform shade. Metal and wood base in its juice with some traces of wear without hindering the use of the furniture.  Dimensions (cm): l120 X p46 X h215. Weight 100kg.
