Large floor vase XXL Jean de Lespinasse Vallauris 209 (67cm)

Exceptional large XXL floor vase in glazed ceramic, signed Jean de Lespinasse (JdL) – Vallauris, model 209. Made in the 1950s/60s, this monumental vase stands 67 cm tall (weighing nearly 6 kg) and offers a spectacular decorative presence, ideal for being displayed directly on the floor in a living room or entrance. It is distinguished by its graphic and geometric decoration typical of the artist, centred around a large stylised rosette in shades of celadon green, ochre, brown, and midnight blue, all on a delicately nuanced beige background. Several geometric friezes rhythmically adorn the body of the vase and accentuate its elongated silhouette. Markings under the base (perfectly visible): • VALLAURIS • 209 (model number) • Monogram JdL Dimensions & Weight: • Height: ~67 cm. • Neck diameter: ~18.5 cm. • Base diameter: ~17 cm. • Weight: 5.922 kg. Condition: Very good overall vintage condition. The glaze remains very shiny and the colours are superb. No cracks, chips, or restorations. Notably transparent: a small discreet superficial impact on the upper edge of the neck (see photos). A rare and authentic collector's piece for enthusiasts of 20th-century French ceramics.
