Black Vintage Bentwood Bar Chair in Thonet Style, Mid-Century 1970s

This vintage bentwood black pub high chair dates to the late 1970s and was made in Yugoslavia. It features the classic bentwood construction, a technique that naturally allows slight flexibility in the frame while keeping the structure strong and durable. The chair is made entirely of wood (apart from the screws) and shows authentic signs of age, including surface scratches, patina, and wear consistent with 40+ years of use. The wooden frame remains sturdy, with the characteristic gentle “give” typical for bentwood pieces. Its elevated seat height makes it ideal as a pub chair or a kitchen-island stool.
